Available from several nurseries in UK and Europe.
Raised by Ernst Pagels of Germany in 1962.
Sold as Red Light in UK.
A sport from Spinell.
This sport had also occurred in Holland where it was called Spartan and had also been called Fleur.

ASSESSMENT

A very good cultivar for forcing or growing in the garden.
Produces many good flower spikes of a good deep colour on strong stems.
