Raised by Georg Arends of Ronsdorf, Germany in 1912.
(A. japonica compacta multiflora x A. chinensis).
Award of Merit RHS 1912 to Van Waveran and Kruyff.

Available from a few nurseries in the UK.

A vigorous sturdy plant with creamy-white panicles still grown commercially throughout Europe as a pot plant although the flower stems may be rather long.
